As a kid I wanted to be a comic book artist…

As time went on, I realized I didn’t just want to be a comic book artist, I wanted to experience comics in real time. I wanted the thrill of fast paced panels and mad superpowers in full force.

When I was studying, I came across a few audiovisual artists who really got me thinking about what it might mean to sway control over the minds and mood of the performance space.

…but it needed more screens

Having done a solid few years on the festival circuits and working with large scale stages - projection mapping custom visuals. I realized that working with a single screen in a club is just not going to cut it, I wanted to bring the festival experience of being pushed into sensory overload to the club scene.

Which got me to start thinking about cutting up one projection screen to tell stories through

Soviet Montage

"A series of images can, when correctly composed by the filmmaker and then interpreted by the viewer, produce an abstract concept not strictly present in each of the composite images."

Like ticktock, but on 12 screens at once

My focus turned to montage and collage above all. Live projection visuals take a lot of different forms and styles, as each performer evolves their craft to their niche.

I like to use the digital media zeitgeist as the primary driver for the stories.

Adapting and slicing pieces of animation and movies from different eras and application into a fast paced blend of seemingly related snippets of one evolving audiovisual experience.

Projection map everything!

If one screen tells a story, then 10 screens tell a saga.

Or just straight up inject the audience with absolute vibe.

I’m a projection mapper through and through. Regardless of whether there’s 1 screen or more that you can count. Ill make good use of them all.

From design and conceptualization of stages to projection mapping and environment building, I love to be a part of a team or to help make ridiculous things happen.
