Cross Reality Art forms and Metacontext

Rooms within rooms, wheels within wheels..

“that which surrounds, and gives meaning to something else”

I had always been fascinated with how context shapes and forms our experience of the current moment. How our minds shape and shift our perception when given an extra layer of framing.

Live Virtual Production, World Building, And making it all work..

Having done a solid few years on the festival circuits and working with large scale stages - projection mapping custom visuals. I realized that working with a single screen in a club is just not going to cut it, I wanted to bring the festival experience of being pushed into sensory overload to the club scene.

Which got me to start thinking about cutting up one projection screen to tell stories through

PROJECTS AND INVOLVEMENTS

Theory Of Incompleteness: CyberAlley

World builder, technical artist.

Timeline from start to finish for the project: 1 month.

Involving over 8 different worlds and a variety of performers, I was tasked with building a planet world to my vision, while following a loose set of constraints such as making it bright, and fun.

I chose to make a rendition inspired by ‘Treasure Planet’ and make a solarpunk pirate port.

Running over 9 hours, involving a range of performers from dance to fire twirling, to over 800 people through the duration of the stream.
